End of Year Wrap Up

As 2024 comes to an end, Furfaro Architects takes this opportunity to reflect on another exceptional year filled with growth, challenges, and achievements. This year has seen the successful completion of key projects, the approval of exciting developments, and the start of promising new ventures.

From the completion of some exciting projects to the outstanding achievements of all team members, Furfaro Architects aims to continually work and exceed our expectations and goals.

Celebrating the Achievements of Our Design Team

Furfaro Architects proudly congratulates our design team members for their outstanding academic achievements this year.

Thomas Fiorenza has recently completed his Master of Architecture degree at Western Sydney University. Earlier this year, Thomas was awarded the Construction and Practice Prize from the Australian Institute of Architects at the 2023 NSW Student Architecture Awards. This recognition highlights his exceptional talent and promising future in architecture, with contributions already enriching our team.

Charlize Galayini was recognised on the Dean's Merit List for 2023 at Western Sydney University, earning her entry into the Master of Architecture program, commencing in 2025. She also placed 3rd in the PrefabAUS Challenge Cup 2024, where students explored how "smart" building practices can create architectural interventions that foster genuine intergenerational connections. Her dedication and strong academic performance continue to inspire and add value to our practice.

These remarkable accomplishments inspire innovation within our practice and elevate our collaborative efforts as we continue to deliver exceptional projects.

Reflecting on 2024: Celebrating Milestones and Looking Ahead

With the completion of standout projects in 2024, including a dual occupancy in Chiswick, a bespoke single dwelling in Silverdale, and a thoughtfully crafted single dwelling in Horsley Park, we are proud to see these tailored designs come to life. We hope they bring our clients comfort and lasting enjoyment this festive season and beyond.

We're also pleased to share progress on key projects that have reached development approval, including a mixed-use development in Terrigal and several bespoke single dwellings. These projects combine residential and commercial spaces, benefiting local communities and setting a benchmark for future developments.

Several projects are currently under assessment, including the adaptive re-use of an aged-care facility into an educational establishment in Chester Hill, upgrades to a high school in Greenacre, and a new mixed-use development in Gregory Hills. These reflect our commitment to transforming spaces and enhancing the built environment.

Looking ahead to 2025, we're excited to begin a new chapter with inspiring projects, including the refurbishment of a library in Western Sydney, a concept master plan for a site in Southeast New South Wales, and bespoke homes that celebrate thoughtful architecture and interior design.

On behalf of Furfaro Architects, we extend our heartfelt thanks to our valued clients, collaborators, and business partners for their trust and support throughout the year.

As we look ahead into the year of 2025, we would like to wish you all a relaxing break, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We look forward to continuing our journey with you in the new year. See you in 2025!
